I like shoes.
I didn't used to.
I do now.
Because you do.

Fast food and towels.
Whatever you say
goes where I go.
You’re in control.

Pop, rock, hip-hop.
Heck, even country.
You listen to it
and I listen too.

And if you say,
"we'll live in the arctic,"
I'd live there too.
Just to be with you.

This was written in April. For whatever reason, I was discussing shoes with a friend of mine, and turning the phrase " I like shoes" into a poem came up (no doubt something along the lines of me saying, "I can turn anything into a poem" , and him saying, "how about 'I like shoes'?" ) -- I can't fully remember. Anyway, here's the final result that I came up with.
