5.4 Bob Inquisition

Bob is dead.
Bob and Dave have joined Heaven's army in the war against Hell.
Bob and Dave are in the front line of the trenches in Purgatory.
Bob and Dave had been summoned to the lieutenant's office.
Bob was asked if he knew why they were here.
Bob asked if it was because he'd done something wrong.
Bob was hit round the head by Dave.
Bob was reminded by Dave that he'd already suggested that and been told he'd done nothing wrong and that they'd been called here to be given a mission.
Bob remembered all of that now.
Bob asked the lieutenant what the mission was.
Bob was told that he and Dave were to visit the Wise Man and interrogate him.
Bob asked why.
Bob was told that the Wise Man might have some information, because he was wise.
Bob thought this made sense.
Bob asked why he and Dave had been chosen.
Bob was told it was because of his positive previous associations with the Wise Man, unique among Heaven's troops.
Bob felt oddly proud of this.
Bob was told he shouldn't, because it was only because he'd been stupid enough to leave Heaven in the first place.
Bob thought it did sound pretty stupid when put like that.
Bob and Dave were ordered to go to see the Wise Man forthwith.
Bob was dragged out by Dave before he could ask what "forthwith" meant.
Bob and Dave quickly made their way through the streets of Purgatory without incident.
Bob found his way into the Wise Man's house and up to the roof in a way that was pretty dull the first time and so certainly shan't be repeated now.
Bob introduced himself to the Wise Man.
Bob was told the Wise Man remembered him.
Bob was chuffed.
Bob was told the Wise Man knew he was coming.
Bob asked if the lieutenant had told him.
Bob was told that the Wise Man just knew things.
Bob thought this was mighty clever.
Bob asked if he could be taught to just know things.
Bob was told he couldn't be taught to know anything.
Bob found this somewhat confusing.
Bob was reminded of their purpose by Dave.
Bob informed the Wise Man that he was there to interrogate him.
Bob asked the Wise Man if he knew anything of the future of the war.
Bob was told that he did but that he wasn't going to share it that easily.
Bob said "oh well".
Bob thanked the Wise Man for his time and left.
Bob was stopped by an angry Dave.
Bob was asked why he'd given up the inquisition with no information.
Bob said he didn't know what else to ask.
Bob was asked if he didn't have any more interrogation techniques.
Bob said he did not.
Bob was told he was useless at this.
Bob agreed.
Bob and Dave went back to their trench empty handed...
Look who's back!

I won't say, on the off chance anyone's reading this before the episode itself, but it's certainly been a while since his last appearance! Will he ever be back again? Who can say...

A tiny bit of trivia for today: of the seven Bob V episodes so far completed, five exist in an extended form. Of course, I've already posted some 'deleted scenes'; whether anything else is substantial enough to be noteworthy I don't know -- I guess we'll see in the eventual Bob book!

Please comment! All feedback is heartily encouraged and lovingly received.

It's the wise man! Wow!

*ahem*

"Now all we need is someone to send me £1million"

See if that works.
